WoodStove Glass fix and Gasket: How to fix and repair wood stove glass door and fiberglass rope gasket video. I broke the glass window in my wood stove door and purchased a custom cut piece of neoceram Heat-resistant wood stove ceramic glass from a local glass shop. There are several brands of this high temperature fire place glass including, robax, and Pyroceram-III, but this material seemed a bit thicker then the original. Tips: Be sure the stove door glass fits properly. Clean all stove door surfaces free from rust and scale. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN the clamp screws for the wood stove glass pane,,, you'll be sorry. Maintenance of the wood stove rope seal will help keep your air tight stove free of leas and burn less wood.
